Rising to new heights for Cancer
Dear Pilot,The 2008 White River Balloon Fest will take place to raise money for the American Cancer Society in early August for three days with races and fun for all and, we hope, no rain.
The festival, which will be held at Anderson Airport in Anderson, In. between August 1st – 3rd, starts with Night Glow on Friday evening, followed by the races set for Saturday and Sunday mornings and on Saturday evening.
This is a new event being hosted by, In Your Face Balloons, Backyard Broadcasting and City of Anderson, to raise money for the American Cancer Society and other community programs. It is our goal to make this the “PREMIER” event in Anderson each year. We hope that, with your support, we can make this a fun, family oriented event, to raise money for a great cause.
In return for your company for the weekend, you will get one room for Fri. & Sat. nights, propane, and dinner on Fri. & Sat. nights and Awards Brunch on Sunday for the pilot and three crew. You will also receive a Pilot Bag with event shirts for pilot AND three crew, along with other “goodies”. There will be at least $1000.00 in cash prize money and other prizes.
If you are capable of carrying a banner and would like to (for $100.00) then let us know and we will put you on the list. If you are a commercial pilot there will be some opportunity to take passengers at $100 each.
If you have a corporate balloon and your sponsor would like to sponsor this event contact me for a sponsor pack, other wise the corporate fees are $500.00. Private entries are $50.00 with $50.00 being return at the awards brunch.
If you are interested in attending this event please submit the attached form, a copy of your insurance and entry fee. After we receive your information we will mail you a pack with all the details, maps and passes.
